How to get to the Mavora Lakes Park?
The park is located to the west of the resort town of Queenstown, known for being a tourist center on the South Island. If you also want to visit other Lord of the Ring filming locations, staying in Queenstown is the best option since it is surrounded by LOTR locations.
The only way to get there is by car and it will take you 2.5 hours from Queenstown. However, it is absolutely worth the effort because the Mavora Park is beautiful. On the south end of the North Mavora Lake, there is also a camping area for those who might spend the night.
